Criterias for Funding                            

The Coquitlam Maillardville Heritage Trust has proudly donated over $2,475,000 to a variety of charities and municipal facilities within the City of Coquitlam since 1993. To find out how you can receive support from the Coquitlam Maillardville Heritage Trust, please read the following criteria below. 

 

Capital Grant Criteria

To provide capital grants or other forms of financial assistance, subject to the recipients acceptance to the need for construction, provision, acquisition, improvement or maintenance of arts facilities that are:

·        Open to the general public

·        Operating on a non profit basis

·        Any charity owning, holding or having an interest in property in the City of Coquitlam that is registered under the Income Tax Act

·        Located in the City of Coquitlam

·        Designed or used to promote public interest in and public appreciation of the fine arts, the performing arts or the literary arts (Including without limitation a facility that is an educational institution, an arts centre, a museum, an art gallery, a theater or a library)

·        The creation or acquisition of artistic or literary works for public display or study at an arts facility

·        Preference will be accorded to an applicant that has secured 2/3 of its funding from other public or private sources

·        The Coquitlam Maillardville Heritage Trust will be listed as a sponsor and given appropriate recognition at various events

·        Be available for a presentation and photo of the funding

 and submit pictures of the before and after completion of the project for the Coquitlam Maillardville Heritage Trust website

 

  Capital Grants

To apply for funding through the Coquitlam Maillardville Heritage Trust for a Capital Grant a completed application form submitted by September 30th of the current year is required.

Funding applications for each year will be sent in writing and transmitted by either:

      • Registered mail
      • Track able commercial delivery service
      • Courier service
      • Facsimile with confirmation receipt

Approval for each years funding will be announced no later than December 31st of each year.
